What does “all types and textures welcome” mean to us?
You'll never be turned away because of your hair or skin type. You'll never be made fun of or treated awkwardly. There should never be aggression or pain. There should always be continuing education for service providers to learn, grow and improve. No matter the state or condition of your skin or hair, you are welcome here. The 1994 Salon & Spa began when two beauty professionals saw a need to bring a luxury salon and spa experience to people of all skin and hair types. When Ivy Jacobs and Hanna Hurd opened their doors in 2023, they were flooded with people of every demographic who craved just that; to be welcomed just as they are.
Every detail no matter how small has been thoughtfully designed to create a holistic beauty experience from start to finish. From the design of the decor to the carefully selected retail offerings, each element is curated to help each client fully unwind in a safe, relaxing environment. I’ve been on the hunt for a good esthetician and I’m so glad I found Hanna! I got a lash lift, facial, and brow shaping done and everything turned out perfect. My lashes have never looked so good (the first lash lift that has actually worked for me), my skin feels super glowy and refreshed, and my brows are finally the shape I’ve been wanting. Hanna made the whole experience relaxing and wonderful — plus the studio is beautiful. Grateful I found her!

I saw Drea for a haircut a few weeks ago and have been meaning to write a review because I had such a positive experience. Not only did she give me a great cut without taking too much of my length but she also styled my curly hair in a way I actually really liked (honestly a rare experience for me), educated me on how I can keep my hair better hydrated in a way that works with my lifestyle and she made me feel good about my hair - I walked out feeling beautiful and as someone who has a complicated relationship with my hair that is quite a feat.

I just had my first appointment at the salon. It was a beautiful space. I saw Olivia, who was recommended to me for wavy/curly hair. Olivia is a lovely human with a ton of knowledge of various textures of hair.
This was my first official curly cut and she walked me through every step, really listened to me, and checked in with me throughout the process to make sure she followed what I wanted. It's always scary going to someone new, and Olivia really put me at ease. I had a great experience!

Hanna is a holistic esthetician with over 10 years in the industry. She specializes in customized facials, sugaring hair removal and all things brow related. Hanna views every service as an opportunity to educate and connect with clients to help them reach their goals. @peachhouseskin
